Dachtober Fest

It was my last weekend before school started back up & I decided to take Louie & Lena to this daschund meet-up. It was called the Dachtober Fest.

The festival was to celebrate Germany's October fest. So many people came out to the festival there where over 100 dachshunds and owners there. Louie had never seen so many dogs in his life...LOL

There was so much to do. There was bobbing for wieners you should of seen Lena boy was she bobbing to get those hot dogs...LOL , there was a costume contest and then there was a mini race. I entered Lena in the race and she won 1st place. I was so proud of her she made it into the finals but unfortunately a there was a little wiener with short legs was actually faster than her...LOL My friend Amber came along to help me out with the little terror (Louie) he didn't get to participate in any events...he just doesn't listen to well and he is always getting into trouble.

Here's a video of Lena winning the 1st race.

Here is a picture of Lena with her 1st place ribbon

Finals...Finally

Ok this quarter came & went I can't believe I only have 2 quarters left & then my internship. It really amazes me that I have been away from home for a whole year already. I did super good this quarter & passed all my FINALS! When I went to school yesterday to check my grades I was jumping up for joy. I studied really hard & it definitely paid off. I have been keeping myself very busy between school & work.

I love my new job I have been getting lots of hands on experience in so many different areas and it has helped out with school like you wouldn't believe. I got to assist during Louie's surgery. Here is a picture of me holding up his testies...yes I neutered him, it was something that had to be done. (Maybe now he will stop marking his territory..LOL)

I love being a vet assistant it is a great feeling knowing that I take part in helping animals. I can't wait to graduate become a licensed Veterinary Technician, hopefully make it into UF's vet program continue school and someday become a Veterinarian & have my own practice.

Did I mention that I love my job!
